Resuming Car Insurance Canada Coverage after Nonpayment

A deductible is an amount that an insurer will not be covered for by the insurer, per the terms of the car insurance Canada policy. The premium is an amount that is charged to the subscriber, and due at the end of every billing cycle. Failure to pay your premium on time will often result in the cancellation of your policy’s benefits. A policy may even stipulate that a subscriber not be allowed to reapply unless a down payment or security of some sort is put up by the subscriber, in order to proceed with the policy the way it was.
